Maizie Brown is a first year university student at King’s College London. Studying the joint BA English with Film, I enjoy writing screenplays, brains storming film and stage play ideas and analysing and writing about existing film material alongside my studies, allowing my love for film to flourish. Post university studies, I hope to progress into the film industry as a screenplay writer for either television series or feature films. This aspiration has stuck with me for many years and every year I get closer to reaching my goal.

My preferred genres to work in are psychological thrillers / horrors, family dramas and crime. Transgressive fiction is also one of my specialties due to my favourite author being Bret Easton Ellis. Dystopian societies are a fond interest to me, therefore writing in that genre is particularly enjoyable.
